From the Red Carpet, Silverchair has just been announced as the winner of Highest Selling Single for Straight Lines, and Damien Leith picked up Highest Selling Album for The Winner's Journey.
Operator Please kicked the awards off, winning Best Breakthrough Single for Just A Song About Ping Pong.
Sneaky Sound System wins the ARIA for Best Breakthrough Album for their self-titled album.
The Best Country award goes to Keith Urban for Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing.
The award for Best Children's Release goes to The Wiggles for Pop Goes The Wiggles. The Wiggles are overseas on tour so the award was accepted by Captain Feathersword and their manager.
Dave Hughes just picked up an ARIA for best Comedy Release for his album Live.
Best Urban release went to the Hilltop Hoods for The Hard Road Restrung
Best Independent Release was won by The John Butler Trio for their album Grand National.
Sarah Blasko just won the ARIA for Best Pop Release for her album What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have.
The ARIA award for Best Adult Contemporary Album goes to Josh Pyke for his album Memories and Dust.
Best Music DVD went to You Am I for Who Are They, These Rock Stars? Live At The Mint.
John Butler Trio just picked up another ARIA award for Best Blues & Roots Album.
The award for Best Dance Release goes to Sneaky Sound System for their self-titled debut album. This is their second award for the night.
The ARIA for Best Rock Album just went to Silverchair for Young Modern.
And Silverchair just picked up another award, this time for Best Group.
Missy Higgins just picked up an ARIA for Best Female Artist for her album On A Clear Night.
The Best Male Artist was won by Gotye for his album Mixed Blood.
Nick Cave has just been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The Single of the Year has been awarded to Silverchair for Straight Lines.
The busy boys in Silverchair have also just won the award for Album of the Year, taking their tally for the night to five ARIAs.
