ARIA invites authorised media representatives to apply for Media Accreditation at this years ARIA Awards.

The application form is available to download on the media centre page under 'press releases'.

Media must complete this form to gain access to the Red Carpet and Media Room at the ARIA Awards on Sunday, October 29.

Please note that accreditation is for the Red Carpet and/or Media Room only and does not provide access to the Awards dinner or after-show party.

Media accreditation is reserved for working members of the media. Due to space restrictions there is a limited number of press passes available however ARIA will accommodate as many media requests as possible. Submission of the Media Accreditation Request Form does not guarantee accreditation.

Your completed request (along with any required additional information) must be received no later than Monday, 9 October 2006 for consideration. The form includes details on where to send your application.

ARIA Awards organisers are proud to annouce further performers and special co-presenters who will light up the stage at the 2006 ARIA Awards, brought to you by Motorola on Sunday October 29 at Acer Arena.

Without further ado we can reveal that the following artists will join KEITH URBAN, ESKIMO JOE, THE VERONICAS and WOLFMOTHER live on stage at the 2006 ARIA Awards.

HILLTOP HOODS, arguably Australia’s most successful hip-hop act, will take the stage at the 2006 ARIA Awards to perform beats that draw from the best musical traditions of funk, jazz and soul. Nominated for 5 ARIA Awards, live the HILLTOP HOODS are untouchable.

Also nominated for 5 ARIA Awards (plus 2 Artisan Award nominations) is BERNARD FANNING who will bring his unique voice to the 2006 ARIA Awards.

Bringing a little Motown magic to the 2006 ARIA Awards will be HUMAN NATURE who have been nominated for 2 ARIA Awards. Watch one of Australia’s finest pop acts come full circle at the 2006 ARIA Awards.

Joining JAMES MATHISON at the podium as a presenter for the 2006 ARIA Awards will be star of both the small and large screen Mr JOHNNY KNOXVILLE. Known for his cunning stunts and currently starring along with his crew in the Wolfmother film clip for Joker and The Thief, KNOXVILLE will be in Australia to promote the sequel to the hugely successful Jackass movie Jackass Number 2. In town to promote his album Right Where You Want Me US pop star JESSE MCCARTNEY will also take time out to co-present at the ARIA Awards. And Little Birdy’s KATY STEELE and her brother, The Sleepy Jackson’s LUKE STEELE will also step up to the presenting plate.
