A new generation of young-guns take on some Australian Music legends at the 2006 ARIA Fine Arts Awards.

In it's third year, the ARIA Fine Arts Awards will also be a family affair with three sets of brothers figuring in the nominations.

The ARIA Fine Arts Awards recognise excellence in the categories of Jazz, Original Soundtrack / Cast / Show, World and Classical. The winners will be announced during an invitation only ceremony on Wednesday 11th October from 7.00pm at the magnificent Verbrugghen Hall at Sydney's Conservatorium of Music.

The gala event with live performances will be hosted by Damien Beaumont and broadcast nationally by ABC Classic FM. In addition to the four ARIAs, an ABC Classic FM Listener's Choice Award will be presented.
